The Feywild

Plane of Existence · Planar

The Feywild is not a place you visit casually. It is a parallel plane where the natural world exists in an amplified, half-dreaming state — plants with edges, creatures with moods that shift like weather, and a fundamental unreliability to distance and time that makes navigation a skill distinct from anything useful in the mortal world. It is beautiful in the way that things are beautiful when they do not care whether you survive the experience.

The party entered through a fey crossing that had been artificially forced open through lunar ritual manipulation — someone on the other side was pulling the boundary between planes thinner than it should naturally go, and doing so deliberately.

Role in the Campaign

The Feywild arc marked the campaign’s transition from a dungeon-focused story into something wider and stranger. After the long grind of the Scarlet Citadel, crossing into the Feywild felt like stepping through a door into a completely different kind of danger.

The village of Tretoria was suffering under lunar corruption caused by a magical artifact tied to a broken moon — a problem with roots in both the divine and the political. The party encountered the broken moon itself, engaged with fey conspiracies involving Vladyn and figures operating across planar boundaries, and eventually had to navigate a chase to the edge of the plane itself. The shard they recovered from the Feywild became one of the campaign’s most consequential objects — and most troublesome. What Vladyn may have done to it before they got it back remained an open question long after they left.

The Feywild also deepened the campaign’s relationship with Selûne and Sehanine, whose divine influence runs through both the lunar events in Tretoria and Rae’s ongoing arc with his arm.
